HP TouchSmart 600-1050 23-Inch Black Desktop PC | News Palace
Buy screen wipes , you have finger oil and this is one big black mirror
we got this to replace a cluttered noisy desktop, it has no fans = no noise and is very compact, and at 1920×1080 true HD for the 23″ screen, its very productive workspace, very fast.
Problem… It makes such a good media center that there is family competition to use it. It seems to work wireless “n” speeds so Netflix and hulu are stutter-free prefect, its bigger than the kitchen TV. Someone is always using it.
at 1200 bucks it was 2/3 the cost of the system it replaced.
my advice: buy 2 of them.
I’m not a big computer guy, or techie, my last computer was running slow and the USB ports were all burning out, so I decided to go ahead and take the plunge and get the touch screen. It looked really cool in the store, but I was worried once I got it home I wouldn’t like it quite as much. Boy, was I wrong. It worked great right out of the box, very easy to set up, very user friendly and intuitive. Again, i don’t know a ton about processor chips and speeds, etc, but wow, this things is fast and i love it! It boots up and shuts down quickly, the screen is clear and bright and yes, you don’t use the touch screen ability very much, but it’s still a cool thing to have it when you want it. All in all, in my humble, know nothing opinion, I highly recommend it.
I bought this all-in-one about 3 weeks ago and have since upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 and installed Office 2007. The Windows upgrade was surprisingly easy ($89 downloadable upgrade from Microsoft) and it worked without a hitch. Office 7 also installed without a problem. I was not able to install my older version of Adobe Acrobat 6.0, which is apparently not compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 did find my printer and set up drivers with no trouble.
I love the overall quality and packaging of the product. I’m now hung up on getting rid of the wire clutter, and I’m thinking about a wireless printer too.
