Review of the Samsung DTB-H260F Set Top Digital Tuner

Reviewed February, 2008
Updated March, 2009

Note: This tuner seems to be out of production but still can be found online at some sites. However the price is now much higher. I would suggest you consider the Toshiba DR560 (review here ) as it is still in production, is cheaper, and is also a DVD up-converter and recorder.

PROS HDMI and component connectors HD output (720i, 1080i) Over the air and QAM (digital cable) tuning
CONS Switching output type requires changing switches on back of unit Remote is weak
COST Around $200

COMMENTS: This is the best low cost over the air and QAM (digital cable) set-top box tuner available at this time. A solid design and quality remote, although not very strong. The unit is excellent at picking up distant stations and with multi-path.
