We received this TV yesterday. While we are happy with the TV, we were very disappointed with the delivery service. The tracking said the TV would be delivered by Pilot, but a different company called us to confirm the delivery date/time. We were given a 6-hr window (10am-4pm) and when it approached 3:45, we called Pilot, who called their subcontractor, Forward Air, and were told it would be delivered ‘within the hour.’ A totally different subcontractor called (sub-subcontractor?) to say they would be late. Finally at almost 5pm, they showed up with the TV. Totally in a rush, they took it out but installed it incorrectly. We had to spend two hours later that night to get it to work correctly. If I were to do it a second time, I would buy *this* TV locally, NOT from Amazon. Rating: 4 / 5

I have always been happy with Samsung’s TV. In fact, I have bought 4 from Amazon. Two for myself, one for my friend, and one for my parents. So no complaints there at all. I am a happy user of Samsung TV.

It’s Amazon’s pricing that I am not happy with. I bought my second TV, Samsung LN46B650, around 6 months ago. Three weeks later, the price was lower by $150. Amazon refused to do anything about it — they used to refund the difference for the price difference within a month. Strick 1.

More recently, I bought a Samsung LN52B630 for $1589. Within 2 days, I found the same items at Fry’s Electronic for $1299 and lower by $90 on Amazon website itself. When I sent mail to Amazon, I received a not-so-friendly email from its customer service department, saying that they will make a “one-time exception” to “graceously refund the $90″ difference (they used to apologize for the overprice and refund the difference right away a while ago). The item has dropped further in price since I bought it 2-3 weeks ago. So effectively, when I received the TV a week ago, I had overpaid for it by at least $200. The same item is now much cheaper in price in most Electronics stores in San Jose and Los Angeles. I used to be a very happy customer of Amazon. Not anymore.
