Samsung HMX Full HD Camcorders Boast WiFi Connectivity [Samsung ...

Samsung have officially taken the wraps off three new S Series Full HD camcorders in the form of the Samsung HMX-S10, HMX-S15 and HMX-S16 which, aside from being billed as being the ‘highest performing full-HD camcorders in Samsung’s history’ also happen to have the distinction of being the world’s first Full HD camcorders to boast integrated WiFi and DLNA connectivity.

All three of the new S Series camcorders sport Samsung’s proprietary new Victoria Engine processor paired with 1/2.3 inch BSI (Back Side Illumination) CMOS imaging sensors as well as optically stabilized Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan-HD lenses offering up to 18x optical zoom whilst also boasting 3.5” widescreen touchscreen WVGA LCD displays running a 3D GUI.
Utilising either SD/SDHC memory cards for storage combined with built-in SSD units (a 32GB SSD in the case of the HMX-S15 or a 64GB SSD in the HMX-S16 – the HMX-S10 relies on SD/SDHC cards alone) Samsung’s new S Series Full HD camcorders, whilst supporting H.264 compression, also offer up features such as High Def time lapse recording, super slow motion (300fps at 368×208 or 600fps at 192×112 resolution) and storyboard printing functionality – thus making them particularly appealing to amateur film makers.
“The ability to effortlessly share memories and content with others is becoming more important for consumers,” said Mr. SangRyong Kim, Senior Vice President of Camcorder Team, Samsung Electronics. “Now, for the very first time consumers can record and immediately share content with others without having to worry about fumbling for wires or cables with Samsung’s new S-Series camcorders. From the point of capture to display, the S-Series camcorders take the video recording experience to a whole new level.”
